Freighter

Image of the spacecraft Taris crash landed on the Island, and identical to the ships of Oma and Obsidian. This ugly duckling is a workhorse that is functional, like a six-wheel tipper truck.

It was used to ferry minerals and ore from Mars to Rhea, the planet which is now the asteroid belt. Fitted with a Boson Drive, it was also capable of reaching Proxima Alpha - a journey of just over twenty years.

The guns are not offensive, but used to clear space debris. The two under wing pods are for transporting hazardous materials.

This level above the control room, provides food and drink serveries, and relaxation areas. These include exercise and therapy centres, including a spar.

The forward facing wall shows a projection of where the craft is going.

The area in the main craft behind has a cargo hold, and main life support systems.

The control room is backed by crews quarters, and the main cargo holds.

Engineering

As well as Engineering control, the detachable front part houses the transporter, medic bay, and systems control rooms for weapons and shields, etc.

The main craft houses the Boson Drive, and has a large storage bay to the rear.

Lower Level

This level hosts the gravity well and batteries, as well as other ship systems.

Spacecraft

The images and internal structures of the two spacecraft were created by Boris Junkovic, and show the general layout of both versions of the Invincible, Jack's ship. The original configuration was that of a freighter - an ugly duckling and workhorse. Jack and Kay adapted the craft to be a cruiser of type: Hunter/Killer.

The two Plasma Cannons, one to each wing, are the Ancestors most formidable weapon.

Jack loves the control room design, which is why he opted for the new configuration; he had no need of a warship ... back then.

He and Kay discover they have just enough rock plasma to initiate the transition, but work will continue for many days. Scanners are priority.

This level above the control room, provides food and drink serveries, and relaxation areas. Unlike the Freighter version, it also has extra crew quarters, and is much larger.

Behind these lie barracks and cells, again backed by main life support systems.

The control room is much larger than before, and again has crews quarters behind. There is a meeting room between, and behind the crews quarters is a dedicated operations room. Here warfare can be planned without disrupting Bridge operations. To the rear is a cargo hold.

Engineering

Engineering is similar to, but far larger and more complex than on the Freighter. It still houses the Boson Drive, but has additional areas for rock plasma generation, and a section dedicated to manufacturing transporters with associated shields.

Behind is a storage area for munitions used by ground forces, and associated infiltration aides. This leads on to the space dock at the rear, which is two storeys high.

Lower Level

This level hosts the gravity well and batteries, and also enhancements to the Boson Drive.
